The Add-A-Pearl Necklace has been a favorite for generations. Traditionally, family members purchase the necklace for young girls and add pearls to the necklace on special occasions. The popularity of this necklace has found a resurgence among ladies desiring a necklace for more casual attire and in the work place.
The necklace is made with a 14k gold chain with 21 white round 5mm freshwater pearls.

Our 18” Add-a-Pearl necklace is made by stringing the pearls on silk thread, knotting between each pearl, and stringing the thread to both free ends of a 14K gold chain. When one wants to add more pearls to the necklace, the pearls are restrung adding the additional pearls. The necklace quoted on the web comes with 21 pearls, but you can request any number of pearls and any length of chain. We recommend that you purchase the total number of pearls needed to complete the finished necklace, as desired, so that all of your pearls will match in size, color, and hue. Then your Add-a-Pearl necklace can be taken to your local jeweler or mailed to us to add pearls when you want to add more. One stand of pearls when knotted with a clasp will make an 18" necklace.  Other brands of Add-a-Pearl necklaces are made with pearls that have holes drilled out large enough to slip over a thin chain. We do not carry this style, because the finished necklace will not string properly on silk with the larger holes.
